Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in Wireless Systems technology.
  • 5 years of experience in technical leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in wireless technology development, managing the entire lifecycle from concept to commercialization.
  • Experience in chipset or OEM product development with technical leadership capabilities.
  • Experience leading contributions that have advanced wireless technology.

About the job

The team is responsible for system level requirements, wireless chipset vendor evaluation, competitive analysis, product and feature design. The team is also responsible for evaluation in terms of performance/power/thermal, as well as wireless technology evolution and integration for the Pixel product ecosystem.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $237,000-$329,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and corresponding vendor solutions to identify their suitability and potential integration within the Pixel product portfolio.
  • Define, initiate, and drive evaluation and proof-of-concept efforts, providing comprehensive support for subsequent technology integration processes.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative partnerships with existing product teams across the Pixel or Android organizations.
