    The Cased-Hole Operator will execute operations in all aspects of open-hole and/or cased-hole logging and completion services which may include, but is not limited to, rigging up the truck at the service location, assisting with all operations both in the shop and at the wellsite. This individual will also operate and maintain the assigned wireline truck and equipment, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.

    The Cased-Hole Operator position is a labor-intensive role within our Wireline division.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Installs / disassembles (rig up/rig down) of wireline and pressure control equipment in accordance with original equipment manufacturer’s standards including verification of applicable certifications. Assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment
    • Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
    • Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties.
    • Follows all standard shipping, transportation, routing, and scheduling practices in compliance with company procedures and applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements.
    • Validates and documents identity and quantity of all equipment.
    • Operates, maintains, inspects, and troubleshoots the assigned wireline truck and related equipment, including diagnostics, pre-trip/post-trip checks, and required operational records.
    • Drives company vehicles and equipment, including wireline trucks, cranes, pickups, and pickup trucks with trailers, in accordance with company driver qualification standards and applicable DOT/FMCSA rules.
    • Completes required driver, vehicle, equipment, shipping, and service documentation accurately and timely, including records needed to support DOT/FMCSA compliance where applicable.
    • Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to wireline explosives operations.
    • Cleans and maintains company vehicles, tools, and equipment; troubleshoots tool, equipment, and truck problems; restores tools in the shop and in the field.
    • Provides support to crew members with operations on and off location and communicate with technicians on equipment failure.
    • Performs other duties as assigned as necessary.

     

    Note: All tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate industry standards.

     

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    • Must be 21 years of age
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license
    • Must possess and maintain a valid Class B CDL; Hazmat endorsement preferred.
    • Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record and be qualified to operate company vehicles and equipment, including wireline trucks, cranes, pickups, and pickup trucks with trailers.
    • Must successfully complete all required post-offer/pre-employment screening, including background check, DOT-compliant drug and alcohol testing, DOT physical/medical certification, and any job-relevant physical or functional capacity assessments required by company policy or applicable regulation.
    • Must comply with applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements, including hours-of-service, vehicle inspection, load securement, transportation routing, and company driver qualification standards.
    • Wireline experience preferred but not required
    • Willing to travel up to 80% time
    • Salary Range - $23.00-$27.00 hourly DOE

     

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

    This position requires frequent physical activity in both shop and field environments, including rig-up/rig-down work, loading and unloading equipment, operating wireline equipment, and working around pressure control equipment and company vehicles.

    • Lift up to 50 pounds frequently; team lift up to 100 pounds when required.
    • Stand approximately 6 hours, sit approximately 3 hours, and walk approximately 3 hours during a typical 12-hour shift.
    • Perform frequent bending and occasional kneeling, climbing, reaching, fine motor work, and push/pull activity.
    • Climb ladders and equipment up to approximately 20 feet as needed to access equipment and complete field operations.
    • Maintain grip strength of approximately 60–80 pounds for tool handling, equipment operation, and securing materials.
    • Work in both indoor shop and outdoor field environments, including exposure to temperature extremes and high noise levels.
    • Operate or work around wireline trucks, cranes, pickups with trailers, pressure control equipment, and related tools and equipment.
    • Work a typical 12-hour shift on a 14/7 rotation schedule, with travel up to approximately 80%.

     

    Based on the physical demands and safety-sensitive duties of this role, the post-offer/pre-employment screening package may include a basic physical, musculoskeletal assessment, pulmonary function test, audiogram, vision test, drug screen, functional capacity evaluation, and DOT physical, as applicable to company policy and regulatory requirements.
