Job Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Aircraft Wiring Harness Technician in Stratford, CT for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position requires extensive experience fabricating aircraft wiring harnesses from electrical schematics, routing harnesses in large electronics racks, and terminating them to rear disconnect panels. The technician will also use engineering drawings and electrical/electronic schematics to fabricate, install, diagnose, and repair equipment and test installations supporting System Integration Laboratory test facilities. The role is onsite full time.

Required Skills

  • Experience fabricating aircraft wiring harnesses from electrical schematics
  • Experience routing wiring harnesses in large electronics racks and terminating them to rear disconnect panels
  • Strong electronic and electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with electronic and electrical fabrication
  • Experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical and general fabrication skills
  • Experience working with, fabricating, and terminating military wiring harnesses and connectors
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings and electrical/electronic schematics with limited guidance
  • Ability to fabricate wire harnesses, test boxes, and associated laboratory test equipment
  • Mechanical skills for mounting items in electronics racks

What You’ll Do

  • Fabricate aircraft wiring harnesses from electrical schematics
  • Route wiring harnesses within large electronics racks and terminate them to rear disconnect panels
  • Fabricate, install, diagnose, and repair equipment and test installations
  • Fabricate wire harnesses, test boxes, and associated laboratory test equipment
  • Use engineering drawings and electrical/electronic schematics to perform assigned work with limited guidance
  • Mount items in electronics racks using mechanical fabrication skills
  • Support System Integration Laboratory test facilities
