Preschool Coordinator

Wolverines Forward Before and After School Program

Griswold Public Schools

2026/2027 School Year

Terms of Service: Full-Time 40 hours per week following the Griswold Public Schools' calendar. Forty hours of summer work required.

Hourly rate of pay: $25.00 with a start date of August 1, 2026.

Benefits: Included aremedical/dental/vision, holidays, sick days, personal days, and participation in the Municipal Employees Retirement Fund (while grant funding is available).

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Extended Learning Director, the PREKProgram Coordinator is responsible for the daily supervision and coordination of the Wolverines Forward PreK classroom. The Coordinator assists in developing and implementing program activities, supervises staff and students, and ensures that all operations align with district policies and program objectives.

Ability to -

  • Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities in academics, enrichment, character development, and recreation.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise children ages 312 in group and individual settings.
  • Engage safely in physical activities and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, administrators, parents, and community partners.
  • Communicate effectively, exercise sound judgment, and serve as a positive role model for students and staff.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with preschool and/or elementary school students.
  • Thirty (30) college credits in Education or a related field preferred; additional experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
