Job Title: Women s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)
Position Summary
The Women s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) provides comprehensive healthcare services to women throughout all stages of life. This role focuses on preventive care, gynecological health, reproductive care, diagnosis and treatment, patient education, and evidence-based wellness services.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive women s health services, including preventive, routine, and specialized care
Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, and gynecological evaluations
Perform Pap smears, breast exams, and other appropriate clinical procedures
Evaluate diagnostic tests and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide counseling on reproductive health, family planning, and menopause management
Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and healthy lifestyle practices
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Stay current with advances in women s health, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based practices
Participate in community health education and outreach programs
Qualifications
Master s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women s Health required
Current Women s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) certification required
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the applicable state required
Previous experience in women s health or a related clinical setting preferred
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
