Position Summary
Holy Cross Medical Group in Fort Lauderdale Florida is looking for a Primary Care Physician with a focus on Women's Health to join our team. This role would work embedded alongside our Women's Health Center team including Gynecology, UroGynecology & Gynecology Oncology. This role integrates preventive medicine, chronic disease management, reproductive and sexual health, wellness counseling, and coordination of specialty care.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care services for adult women
Perform preventive health screenings and annual wellness examinations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Provide gynecologic preventive services including:
Pap smears and cervical cancer screening
Contraceptive counseling and management
STI screening and treatment
Menopause and perimenopause management
Coordinate care with specialists including OB/GYN, breast surgery, endocrinology, cardiology, and oncology
Develop individualized care plans emphasizing preventive health and lifestyle medicine
Manage conditions commonly affecting women, including:
Hypertension
Diabetes
Thyroid disorders
Osteoporosis
Anxiety and depression
Obesity and metabolic syndrome
Counsel patients regarding nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, sexual health, and healthy aging
Participate in quality improvement, population health, women's health outreach initiatives and philanthropic activities to further grow the program
Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation within the Epic electronic health record
Support patient satisfaction, access, and continuity of care goals
Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing, care management, and ancillary staff
This is a full time position but part-time and flexible schedules will be considered
This is an ambulatory position. No hospital work is required.
Overnight practice telephone coverage call in collaboration with a nearby group of physicians is required but usually very light in volume, approximately 1:5 frequency.
Qualifications
Education
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of residency training in:
Family Medicine
Internal Medicine
4+ Years of Experience
Licensure & Certification
