Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Wood Finishing & Shop Assistant workers for a wood products manufacturing company in Brainerd, MN. In this role, you’ll help produce high-quality finished wood products while supporting daily shop operations in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. What You’ll Do as a Wood Finishing & Shop Assistant:- Sand, stain, and apply finishes to wood products such as doors, trim, moldings, and cabinetry components
- Spray finishes following company standards for quality and consistency
- Safely handle, lift, and move wood materials (up to 50 pounds)
- Load and unload trucks and assist with incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support team members and assist customers with friendly, helpful service
What You Need to Bring to the Wood Finishing & Shop Assistant Role:- Ability to stand, lift, and move throughout an active shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and willingness to learn
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Previous wood finishing or shop experience preferred, but no experience required – entry-level candidates welcome
- Ability to follow safety procedures and basic work instructions
