What You'll Do
As a Wood Shop Laborer and Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the cutting, stacking, and bundling of various types of wood used in moulding production.
Feeding wood of different lengths into rip saws, inspecting materials for defects, and making minor adjustments to ensure quality output. (Training provided)
Removing finished boards from machines and organizing them for shipment and delivery.
Maintaining a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
Operating company vehicles to deliver wood products to customers as needed, following all safety and traffic regulations.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Basic skills in reading a tape measure and using calipers or similar measuring tools.
The physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout your shift.
Strong teamwork abilities, a positive attitude, and a dependable work ethic.
A valid drivers license, as driving company vehicles for deliveries may be required (cargo van or 24ft box truck).
Willingness to learn safety procedures and technical tasks associated with woodworking and transportation.
