About the Role
As part of our evening janitorial team in Northwest Houston, you'll create cleaner, healthier environments for our customers, their students, and the grounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Cleaning — Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean windows, and move furniture and equipment using ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
- Inventory — Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Safety — Use proper PPE where required, including hard-toe shoes, hard hat, and safety vest.
- Site Security — Open and lock facilities, and arm and disarm security systems as required.
- Additional Duties — Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus, but not required.
- On-the-job training provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Experience with a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
- Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking role.
- A positive attitude — in uniform, dependable, and on time.
- Respect for co-workers and customers.
Physical Demands & Qualifications
- Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead and forward.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to read cleaning instructions and distinguish between cleaning products and their proper uses.
Schedule — 2 Openings
All shifts run 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
- Position 1 — 20 hrs/week | Works Sunday – Thursday | Off Friday & Saturday
- Position 2 — 20 hrs/week | Works Friday – Tuesday | Off Wednesday & Thursday
- Position 3 — 16 hrs/week | Works Wednesday – Saturday | Off Sunday – Tuesday
