Maintains woodshop and equipment and provides technical/instructional support to students and faculty in the safe operation of woodshop equipment. Sets up woodshop and prepares materials for use by the Art Gallery and Art Department. Maintains records of equipment inventory. Recommends purchase of new equipment and repair of existing equipment. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in art and design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related professional or academic experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in art or design or a related field.
• Experience managing a woodshop.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and other internal/external groups, and ability to supervise and instruct students.
• Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures specified by equipment/supply manufacturers.
