We are seeking a WordPress Web Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications and custom WordPress solutions supporting mission-critical operations. This role focuses on developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, integrating cloud-based services, and building scalable web applications that provide exceptional user experiences.
The ideal candidate has experience with WordPress development, PHP, JavaScript, cloud technologies, AWS, and modern web development practices, along with the ability to communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins
- Develop custom WordPress plugins using PHP to extend website functionality
- Create custom WordPress themes using HTML, CSS, and PHP to deliver modern, responsive user experiences
- Develop interactive website features using JavaScript, including dynamic UI components such as sliders, modals, and custom widgets
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web-based applications
- Configure and administer WordPress content management systems
- Develop custom integrations using WordPress APIs, hooks, and core functionality
- Design and integrate cloud-based applications, databases, and web services within AWS environments
- Develop and integrate enterprise applications with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions
- Communicate technical concepts and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Develop technical documentation and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable web and cloud solutions
- Support DevOps processes, version control, and application lifecycle management
Required Qualifications
- Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
- Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
- Experience developing custom WordPress plugins using PHP
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes using HTML, CSS, and PHP
- Experience developing interactive web functionality using JavaScript
- Experience designing and developing web-based applications
- Experience configuring and administering WordPress environments
- Strong understanding of WordPress core functionality, hooks, APIs, and custom development practices
- Experience developing applications within AWS environments
- Experience designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining cloud-based applications and databases
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience creating website graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Experience designing innovative web solutions and user experiences
- Experience creating and managing AWS Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs)
- Experience provisioning and managing Amazon EC2 instances
- Experience configuring AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), security groups, and load balancers
- Experience administering Linux and Unix systems
- Experience developing dashboards using Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms
- Experience with NoSQL databases and enterprise data management
- Experience using GitHub, Git, Jira, or similar version control and project management tools
- Experience integrating COTS applications with custom software solutions
- Experience integrating and managing enterprise data sets
- Experience working within DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience automating business processes and workflows
- Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and large-scale data flows
