Overview
MSD Decatur Township Schools is seeking a dependable and student-centered Non-CDL Driver to support our Work-Based Learning (WBL) program. This role is essential in safely transporting students to and from approved learning sites, ensuring positive experiences that help prepare them for future success. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to the district's core values.
Work Schedule
- Hours: Minimum 25 hours per week
- Work Year: 180 days
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Ability to pass a Non-CDL physical and pre-employment drug test
- Dependable work history
- Understanding of basic traffic laws on roads, highways, and interstates
- Willingness to be trained to operate an activity bus
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
- CDL license (preferred but not required)
- Commercial driving experience
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport Work-Based Learning students to approved job sites and school-related locations
- Follow all district, state, and federal transportation guidelines and safety protocols
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-functioning district vehicles
- Communicate effectively with transportation staff, school administrators, and WBL coordinators
- Represent the district professionally while interacting with students and partners
- Support the mission and values of MSD Decatur Township through respectful and positive behavior
