Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents, is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Work Scheduler for a 12 Month + Contract opportunity.
The Scheduler is responsible for the coordination, scheduling and support of daily work and planning of resources specific to the assigned business unit
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and execute a daily plan for the work; may include organizing and dispatching assignments, facilitating meetings, short-range forecasting, etc
- Communicate effectively inline with supported business unit processes/procedures; may include interacting with supervision, field operations, or other operational supporting groups
- Utilize various systems to monitor work, create/submit orders and requests, observe data and make scheduling adjustments as necessary. Some roles may require a deeper dive into data review to make appropriate modifications
- Support emergent matters inline with the business units processes/procedures; may include escalations, volume monitoring, etc.
- Perform business unit specific tasks as needed; may include various reporting and taking appropriate action, identifying training opportunities, creating standards, etc.
- Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary
