Title Work Study LLC Program Assistant Position Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Living and Learning Communities (LLC) Programming Assistant works closely with the Graduate Assistant for Living and Learning Communities to provide targeted programming efforts for their assigned Living Learning Community. This work is done in collaboration with the assigned LLC's academic partners.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: The Living and Learning Communities Programming Assistant (LLCPA) reports to the Graduate Assistant for Residential Engagement in the Office of Residence Life and Housing.
CORE DUTIES:
Administrative/Community Building
- Plan and implement intentional programs and events as outlined in the LLC programming model.
- Attend mandatory LLCPA training sessions prior to the beginning of each semester and support early move-in initiatives if they are offered
- Promote the resources of the collaborating departments and offices that are partnering with your respective LLC
- Attend regularly scheduled LLCPA staff meetings on Thursday nights from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM.
- Meet regularly with the RAs, Faculty, and Staff associated with the assigned LLC (Once per month minimum).
- Assist in maintaining the LLC's social media websites.
- Assist with the recruitment and retention of new LLC students.
- Complete and submit the time sheet by the deadline provided by Residence Life & Housing.
- Check your BSU email at least once per day for work correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must understand and support the mission and vision of their assigned LLC.
- Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student throughout the course of employment.
- Must be in satisfactory academic and disciplinary standing as determined by the Office of Residence Life and Housing and the Office of Community Standards.
- Must possess good communication skills, have the ability to positively contribute to a team previous programming skills preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates with federal work study funds.
Physical Demands
This role requires you to travel across campus and may require you to lift items weighing 15lb to 25lbs.
