Forest Lawns Work Study Program provides Mortuary Science students with an opportunity to receive exposure to, and experience in, various aspects of the Mortuary industry during the internship. The main objective of the program is to prepare students for a successful career in the Mortuary industry. This part-time position will learn and perform Funeral Service and Service Arrangements duties and will shadow Memorial Counselors. Job duties may vary to align with the clinical competencies required in the semester of the Mortuary Science program.
This position is available for students in their 2nd semester of the Mortuary Science program and may be extended until the student graduates. The determination of extensions will be based on the students work performance during their initial period of employment and remaining in good academic standing (maintain a GPA of 2.0).
Hours of work will be accommodated to meet the students schedule, up to 20 hours a week.

Drug Testing Policy
Prior to beginning employment, all job applicants who receive a job offer will be required to voluntarily submit to a drug screening test conducted by a laboratory designated by Forest Lawn. The drug screening method is a hair collection test that will detect the use of illegal drugs within the past 90 days. A positive drug test may result in the withdrawal of the job offer.
