Assist with data entry, managing Wy'East nursing email account, and updating student records. The Wy'east work study role may involve incidental exposure to protected student information as part of routine program operations. This could include viewing course scores while assisting with tracking student progress, handling application materials, participating in meetings where academic standing is discussed, or becoming aware of personal background information shared in support of student success. We recognize that these situations involve sensitive information protected under FERPA and take this responsibility seriously. Work study students are required to complete FERPA training and sign a confidentiality agreement to affirm their understanding of and commitment to safeguarding student privacy. Access to information will be limited to what is necessary for their assigned responsibilities, and students will be closely supervised within clearly defined guidelines. At the same time, work study students play a vital role in the success of the Wy'east program. Their contributions enhance our ability to serve students in a timely, relational, and culturally responsive manner. With appropriate safeguards in place, we believe their involvement offers significant benefit while upholding our commitment to ethical and legal standards.
