Job Title: Workday Business Systems Analyst Contractor

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Workday Business Systems Analyst Contractor to join a dynamic team in the technology sector. In this role, you will contribute to implementing and supporting Workday solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and configuring Workday applications to meet client-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for Workday implementations.
- Configure and customize Workday applications to align with client-specific requirements.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting using Workday tools to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Workday-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of Workday applications.
- Review labor activity, project time entries, and supporting documentation to determine appropriate capitalization treatment.
- Partner with project owners and business leaders to validate that labor costs are aligned to approved capital projects, phases, and deliverables.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to capitalized labor accruals, adjustments, reconciliations, and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with financial analysis, project accounting, cost accounting, capitalization, or expense classification.
- Strong understanding of capital expenditure and operating expense concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP, project accounting, time tracking, or financial planning systems.
- Knowledge of capitalization treatment for internally developed software, technology programs, construction projects, or other long-term assets.
- Experience supporting audit requests, financial controls, or process improvement initiatives.
