Workday Functional Architect / Business Strategist

Overview
We are seeking a senior Workday Functional Architect to define and align the overall HR systems strategy across Recruiting, Talent, and Performance. This role will assess the current state, identify gaps, and establish a scalable operating model for Workday.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current Workday configuration across Recruiting, Talent, and Performance
• Define a cohesive strategy that aligns system capabilities with business goals
• Establish best practices for process design, governance, and ownership
• Identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization
• Partner with HR, IT, and leadership to align on roadmap and priorities
• Provide architectural guidance across modules to ensure consistency and scalability
• Support prioritization of enhancements and future-state planning

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Workday functional experience across multiple modules
• Strong background in Workday architecture and cross-functional design
• Experience leading post go-live optimization or transformation efforts
• Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in high-growth or scaling organizations
• Prior experience building HR operating models or COEs
• Familiarity with integrations and downstream system impacts
