About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced HRIS professional to lead the administration, enhancement, and long-term optimization of its enterprise Workday platform. This role will partner closely with Human Resources, Technology, and business leaders to improve system functionality, streamline processes, and support future HR technology initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, building scalable solutions, and serving as the internal Workday expert.
Location: Hybrid schedule within the Washington metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary administrator for the organization's Workday environment.
Collaborate with HR and business teams to improve workflows and system capabilities.
Configure Workday to support evolving business requirements.
Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and improvethe employee experience.
Build reports and dashboards that support operational and leadership decision-making.
Partner with technical resources to maintain integrations with internal and third-party systems.
Investigate and resolve system issues related to configuration, reporting, security, or data.
Support testing, documentation, and deployment of new functionality and system updates.
Provide guidance and support to business users on Workday capabilities and best practices.
Participate in strategic HR technology projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Several years of experience supporting an enterprise Workday environment.
Experience configuring and administering multiple Workday functional areas.
Strong understanding of HR systems, business processes, and data management.
Experience creating reports, troubleshooting issues, and supporting integrations.
Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Workday certifications are a plus.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience supporting enterprise HRIS platforms, participating in system implementations or major enhancements, and partnering across HR and IT organizations will be particularly successful.
