Summary
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for Workday release management, operating with urgency and accountability.
- Manage Workday tenant refreshes and the Dev-to-Prod pipeline, ensuring smooth deployments and minimal disruption. Manage any additional non-production tenants.
- Oversee weekly test environment updates and bi-annual major release updates.
- Coordinate activities and agendas for the Workday Customer Change Committee (WCCC), including testing of system configurations, updates, and new feature releases.
- Review new Workday features and functionality introduced in updates and releases; assess potential impacts on current business processes and identify opportunities for innovation or process improvement. Communicate these findings to the WCCC and ensure informed decision-making.
- Ensure proper testing and change control processes are enforced across all Workday environments.
- Maintain and update all relevant documentation, diagrams, and the WCCC SharePoint site.
- Communicate release expectations and timelines to impacted stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT delivery teams, HR, Payroll, Budget, and Finance departments, and external partners.
- Prepare release notes, communication plans, meeting minutes, and prioritized issue/enhancement reports.
- Participate in annual third-party audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards. Performs evidence gathering and submission. Ensures process adherence.
- Provides compliance reports to IT Leadership and/or Steering Committee.
- Perform other related technology duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a relevant degree, Three (3) or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in enterprise application release management; Workday experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly and work effectively in a hybrid telework environment.
- Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance.
- Must clear a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Required to be on call 24/7 and may work more than 40 hours per week, including weekends.
- Must have valid driver's license, motor vehicle liability insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and consistently demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving capability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday platform and its release management processes.
- Familiarity with ITIL Framework and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience coordinating cross-functional testing and change management activities.
