Job Summary
CIT invites applications for the position of Workday Technical Specialist, a key role in Oberlin's ERP Optimization Initiative.
This role is joining Oberlin at a pivotal moment, serving as the primary technical expert responsible for configuring and building the Workday platform as the College transitions from a 30-year-old Banner legacy system to a modern, cloud-based ERP that will support the institution for decades to come.
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, the Workday Technical Specialist is
responsible for the configuration, design, and technical build of Workday across Human
Resources and Finance.
This role translates business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable Workday
configurations, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and Workday best practices.
The Workday Technical Specialist works closely with functional leads, business analysts, and integration specialists, and is expected to own the configuration integrity of the system, including
business processes, security, and core platform setup.
This role operates at the intersection of configuration, architecture, and integration, ensuring that
Workday is built correctly from the start, with a strong technical foundation for long-term success.
