Job Description
Pay: $77-82/hour W2. Our company offers our consultants a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance.
Remote role - EST/CST alignment.
The Role:
Workday Techno-Functional Consultant or Functional Consultant focused in absence mgmt., timetracking modules with bonus in benefits + payroll modules.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements for Workday Time Tracking, Absence, Leave, Benefits, and Payroll-related enhancements and issues.
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, configurations, workflows, and test plans.
- Configure, test, and support Workday Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, and related HR systems.
- Manage backlog items, sprint planning, refinement sessions, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Conduct UAT, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing; track and resolve defects.
- Validate integrations with Payroll, Core HR, Finance, benefits carriers, and third-party vendors.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.
- Maintain process documentation, configuration records, test cases, and release notes.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Engineering, and vendor teams to deliver solutions.
- Support Workday releases, production deployments, operational activities, and continuous process improvements.
Required Experience
- Must have 4+ years of experience as a Workday Techno-Functional Consultant with strong Workday absence management and timekeeping modules experience.
- Must have experience building timetracking and absence management workflows in Workday.
- Understanding of how Time Tracking, Absence, and Benefits transactions affect Payroll and other downstream systems is needed.
- Experience translating business requirements into detailed user stories, configuration specifications, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
- Experience supporting enterprise system configuration, testing, UAT, releases, and production issues.
- Experience working in Agile teams and using tools such as Jira, Linear, or similar work-management platforms.
