Worker's Compensation Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Workers' Compensation Coordinator to join our orthopedic practice. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, employers, insurance carriers, and healthcare providers to ensure efficient management of workers' compensation cases from initial visit through claim resolution.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate all aspects of workers' compensation cases, including intake, documentation, and follow-upVerify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatmentCommunicate with employers, case managers, adjusters, and attorneys regarding patient status and care plansSchedule appointments and ensure timely completion of required forms and reportsMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient and claim records in the electronic medical record (EMR) systemAssist providers with disability ratings, work status reports, and return-to-work documentationMonitor case progress and address any delays or issues proactivelyEnsure compliance with state regulations and practice policiesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in workers' compensation, medical office administration, or orthopedic practice settingStrong knowledge of workers' compensation processes and medical terminologyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Skills:Experience in orthopedic or specialty medical practiceFamiliarity with billing and coding related to workers' compensation claimsKnowledge of state-specific workers' compensation regulationsBenefits:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement plan options
