LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected Texas-based law firm to identify an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney for a growth-oriented opportunity offering a clear path to partnership.
This firm has earned a strong reputation for representing insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and businesses throughout Texas in workers' compensation defense matters. In addition to WC defense, the firm handles subrogation, insurance regulatory, and receivership matters, providing attorneys with exposure to a diverse and sophisticated practice.
Responsibilities
Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload from inception through resolution
Represent clients at benefit review conferences, contested case hearings, mediations, and depositions
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance to clients
Communicate regularly with claims professionals, insurers, and employers
Negotiate settlements and assist in dispute resolution efforts
Collaborate with partners and attorneys on complex litigation and insurance-related matters
Qualifications
Active Texas Bar license required
Minimum 3 years of Texas workers' compensation defense experience
Texas residency required
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Ability to independently manage a busy caseload

Base salary ranging from $125,000 - $185,000, depending on experience
