Job Description
We are seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our team in Chicago. This is an opportunity to work with a firm that has built its reputation on advocating for injured workers and securing meaningful results for clients navigating complex workplace injury claims.
You will represent injured employees in all aspects of workers' compensation matters, handling cases from intake through resolution. You will work on a wide range of claims involving:
Workplace and industrial accidents Construction injuries Repetitive trauma and occupational exposure claims Permanent disability and wage loss matters Third-party workplace injury claims Denied benefits and disputed treatment cases
Our team works closely with medical providers, vocational experts, investigators, and other professionals to build strong, evidence-driven claims on behalf of injured workers.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of workers' compensation matters from intake through settlement or trial
Conduct case evaluations and develop claim strategy
Draft motions, petitions, and other legal filings
Represent clients at arbitrations, depositions, hearings, and status calls
Communicate with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers
Negotiate settlements and advocate for maximum recovery
Ideal Fit
Licensed to practice in IL.
Minimum 2+ years of workers' compensation experience preferred
Experience representing injured workers is strongly preferred
Understanding of Illinois Workers' Compensation procedures and litigation process
Strong negotiation, advocacy, and client communication skills
Comfortable managing a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail
Hearing, arbitration, or trial experience is a plus
