Overview:

The Workers’ Compensation Administrator and Litigation Support is responsible for administering and
coordinating all workers’ compensation claims across the organization in addition to supporting the Risk
Manager with day-to-day litigation support needs on assigned cases and projects, including but not limited
to managing the database of litigated claims and coordination of responses with the appropriate parties.
This role manages the full lifecycle of workplace injury reporting, claims administration, return-to-work
coordination, and communication with insurance carriers, claims adjusters, and operational leadership.
Working within the Risk Management team, this role ensures timely reporting, regulatory compliance across
multiple states, and effective claim management while supporting injured teammates and facilitating
appropriate return-to-work outcomes.
The Worker’s Compensation Administrator and Litigation Support provides exemplary service in a manner

Responsibilities:

Receive and document reports of workplace injuries and incidents.
Submit First Report of Injury (FROI) documentation to the workers’ compensation carrier in
accordance with state reporting requirements.
Serve as the primary liaison with the insurance carrier and claims adjusters.
Maintain accurate claim documentation, records, and correspondence related to all workers’
compensation claims.
Monitor claim progress, including medical status updates, lost time, and claim closures.
Partner with the Manager of Risk and Contracts on complex or litigated claims.
Coordinate return-to-work and light-duty programs with operational leadership and site
management.
Work with Regional Directors, Property Managers, and site leaders to identify modified duty
assignments consistent with medical restrictions.
Provide wage statements and required employment documentation to carriers and adjusters as
needed.
Ensure compliance with workers’ compensation reporting requirements across multiple states.
Maintain OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping as applicable.
Assist with incident reviews or investigations when needed to support claims administration.
Educate managers and operational teams on injury reporting procedures and timelines.
Serve as a resource to operational leaders navigating workplace injury situations.
Assist in tracking and analyzing workers’ compensation claim activity and trends.
Work with the organization’s insurance broker to maintain claims dashboards and reporting.
Provide periodic reporting to Risk Management leadership regarding open claims and trends.
Identify safety trends from claims experience and work with the WC carrier to deploy training to
assist in mitigating future risk.
Provide litigation support to Risk Manager including but not limited to maintaining the database of
litigated claims, assisting with the intake of new claims, coordinating with insurance agent and/or
carriers to ensure representation for the company and responding to discovery requests under
the direction of the Risk Manager.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalency required.
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, HR, Business Administration, or related field strongly
preferred.
3+ years of workers’ compensation administrator or claims management experience.
Experience working with insurance carriers, claims adjusters, and multi-state workers’
compensation programs preferred.
Industry certifications such as WCCA, ARM, CPCU, or related designations strongly preferred.
Experience supporting a large, multi-location workforce preferred.
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to help create effective
customer-focused relationships with all levels within the organization.
Able to work under tight deadlines and use time effectively based on key priorities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate command of computer hardware/software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation claims processes and regulatory requirements.
Ability to manage multiple claims and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with operational leaders, HR, payroll, and external partners.
Ability to analyze claims data and identify trends or potential risk exposures.
Ability to educate and guide managers through workers’ compensation procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written.

Ability to sit for extended periods of time working at a computer
Extensive use of fingers for typing and visual use of the computer monitor.

telephone.
Ability to stoop and bend.
This position may require travel, up to 10%, with occasional overnight travel or travel by plane.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
Position may require a valid Driver’s License.
