Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner
Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM ET
Hours: Up to 40 hours/Week
Work Environment: Office setting
Job Responsibilities:
· Review and process workers’ compensation claims.
· Investigate claims and determine eligibility and benefits.
· Review medical records and claim documentation.
· Evaluate treatment, work restrictions, and return-to-work options.
· Communicate with employees, providers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
· Maintain accurate claim records and documentation.
· Manage assigned caseloads and follow required procedures.
· Prepare claim decisions, notices, and correspondence.
· Support hearings, mediations, and settlement activities.
· Protect confidential medical and employment information.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of workers’ compensation claims experience, or 8 years of claims experience including 3 years in workers’ compensation.
· Knowledge of workers’ compensation claims and regulations.
· Ability to review medical information and make claim decisions.
· Experience with hearings, mediations, or settlements.
· Knowledge of medical terminology.
· Strong communication and analytical skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
