1–3 years of workers’ compensation paralegal experience required.
Knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures and terminology.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Assist attorneys with all aspects of workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution.
Open and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
Request, review, and organize medical records, employment records, and wage information.
Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, opposing counsel, and the Workers’ Compensation Board.
Schedule hearings, depositions, IMEs, and client appointments.
Maintain attorney calendars and monitor case deadlines.
Prepare hearing and trial exhibits, witness files, and case summaries.
Update case management software and maintain detailed case notes.
Provide exceptional client service while managing a high-volume caseload.
