Dispute Resolution Representative II
Position Type: Temporary/Temp-Hire Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Onsite Assignment Length: Approximately 3 - 4 Months, possibly longer.
DESCRIPTION
Our client reviews medical bills tied to insurance claims, mainly workers' compensation and liability cases, making sure the charges are accurate and fair. They also help resolve billing disputes and catch questionable billing activity before it becomes a bigger problem.
We're currently seeking a motivated lien negotiator to join their dispute resolution team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of active accounts
Build plans of action and track status on each case
Analyze cases and build strong legal arguments to support lien negotiations
Review and summarize medical reports
Negotiate directly with providers by phone
Communicate professionally with clients and providers
Prepare legal exhibits for hearings
Represent cases by phone at lien conferences
What You'll Need:
Minimum 1 year of experience in California workers' compensation lien negotiations
Familiarity with California Labor Code statutes, rules and regulations, case law, and fee schedules
A working understanding of WCAB policies, procedures, and legal terminology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
The ability to stay sharp and professional under pressure
A team-first mindset
IEA certificate or Certificate of Self Insurance a plus
