Overview:

The Workforce Coordinator within the Workforce Initiatives division plays a vital role in supporting the organization in developing and coordinating strategies that are designed to ensure the sustainability and excellence of our healthcare workforce. This dynamic role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that may include but are not limited to workforce strategy development, program coordination, partnership development, data tracking and more.

This role may operate in a general and/or specialized area within the workforce division. 

Responsibilities:

Clinical Experience (area of specialization)

  • Develop, maintain, and manage clinical affiliation agreements with academic institutions to support consistent student placement pipelines.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to assess and determine clinical capacity across departments.
  • Monitor agreement compliance, renewal timelines, and documentation to ensure all affiliations remain current and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including department leaders, preceptors, and program contacts.
  • Design and administer surveys specifically focused on the clinical experience to evaluate student satisfaction and learning quality.
  • Analyze survey results and partner with stakeholders to identify gaps and implement improvements in the clinical environment.
  • Support standardization of clinical placement processes and continuous improvement efforts to enhance the organization’s clinical training experience.

 

General Duties (Applies to All Workforce Coordinators):

  • Collaborate with the Workforce Executive to create and implement workforce strategies that ensure the sustainability and growth of our healthcare workforce.
  • Coordinate various workforce-related initiatives, working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Provide marketing support for the department, promoting workforce initiatives and ensuring they reach the target audience effectively, as needed.
  • Continuously monitor workforce data trends, analyze labor market conditions, and gather insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Develop and implement initiatives to keep our healthcare system competitive in the market, adapting to changing workforce dynamics and demands.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and partnerships to advance workforce development goals.
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing training programs and make recommendations for improvements or modifications based on feedback and performance data.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions and community partners to create a robust talent pipeline for the healthcare industry, including internships, apprenticeships, and educational partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on workforce-related initiatives, including their impact and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to identify and expand resources available for workforce participants (current/future).
  • Leverage internal and external resources to connect workforce participants with resources that can assist them in entering, staying and advancing in the workforce.
Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Associate's degree in healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Minimum Work Experience
    • 2+ years experience in workforce or related roles within the healthcare industry. · Healthcare related experience preferred.
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate and execute initiatives.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to derive actionable insights.
    • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations.
    • Marketing experience is a plus.
