Workforce Development Coordinator needed for full-time, temporary position in Philadelphia County. The Workforce Development Coordinator leads daily delivery of employment readiness and job placement services for unemployed and underemployed individuals. This role designs and implements a comprehensive 'ready-to-work' model that includes intensive coaching and short-term services leading to direct placement, work-based training with paid components such as on-the-job training and internships, and accelerated skills training along career pathways to middle- and high-skill jobs. Responsibilities include planning and executing workforce strategies through internal and partner collaborations; building and maintaining employer and community partnerships; organizing workforce events; researching labor market trends to align job functions and candidate skills; interviewing and prescreening participants for appropriate career pathways; and collaborating with case management staff to assess needs, address barriers, and promote self-sufficiency. The Coordinator also supports oversight of subcontractor performance through reporting, tracks and documents participant activity and outcomes, develops online resources, maintains accurate database records, and performs additional duties as assigned.
