Position Description
The City of Tolleson is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive professional to join our Employee Resources team as the Workforce Safety and Compliance Administrator. This position serves as the City's primary resources for workforce safety, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, continuity of operations, and organizational risk management.

The Workforce Safety and Compliance Administrator oversees the City's comprehensive occupational safety management system by developing, implementing, and administering citywide workforce safety and compliance programs while ensuring compliance with OSHA, ADOSH, and other applicable regulations. Responsibilities include conducting workplace inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations; coordinating employees safety training; maintaining OSHA, ADOSH, and related regulatory records and reporting requirements; coordinating and monitoring corrective actions resulting from inspections, investigations, audits, and hazard reports; evaluating program effectiveness; and promoting continuous improvement of citywide safety initiatives.

This position partners with City departments to develop, maintain, and annually review citywide safety programs, departmental safety plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with changing regulations and organizational objectives.In addition, this position leads the City's Continuity of Operations (COOP) program by coordinating emergency preparedness activities, conducting business impact analyses, facilitating continuity planning with departments, and supporting the development and maintenance of Continuity of Operations Plans to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of municipal services during emergencies. The incumbent collaborates with City leadership, regulatory agencies, and external partners to reduce organizational risk and promote a culture of safety and organizational resilience.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Emergency Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Organizational Leadership, or related field along with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in safety, compliance, emergency management, risk management, continuity planning, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.A valid Arizona Driver License is required and must be maintained throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in local government or public sector operations; experience administering OSHA or ADOSH compliance programs and conducting workplace investigations and compliance audits; experience developing and administering Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), coordinating emergency preparedness exercises, and organizational resilience initiatives; and professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or FEMA Independent Study certifications.

Physical Demands
Positions in this class typically require both office and field work, including travel to City facilities and operational sites for inspections, investigations, audits, training , and emergency response activities. Incumbents may be exposed to construction sites, maintenance facilities, hazardous materials, loud noise, adverse weather conditions, and other workplace hazards. Work is performed in both office and field environments. Duties require travel to City facilities, operational sites, and work locations for inspections, investigations, audits, training, and emergency response activities. Job Information
