A day in the life

Your morning begins with a quick pulse check: a stand-up with your team to set priorities, review yesterday’s wins, and remove roadblocks. You scan pipeline activity, confirm client appointments, and align the day’s recruiting game plan. By late morning, you’re with a prospective client, uncovering workforce needs and mapping a solution. Midday, you huddle with recruiters to fine-tune the candidate flow for hard-to-fill roles and ensure our selection process is applied consistently. In the afternoon, you review fill rates, service quality reports, and NPS feedback, closing any service gaps immediately. Before you wrap, you check AR status, approve payroll, and confirm on-call coverage is set for 24/7 responsiveness.

What you’ll lead

Build and elevate a high-performing team

• Recruit, onboard, coach, and hold the team to Express core values and performance standards
• Run daily huddles, weekly one-on-ones, and formal performance reviews
• Shape a culture of ownership, professionalism, and measurable results
• Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and PTO to ensure full coverage

Grow sales and expand the business

• Execute a quarterly go-to-market plan for new and existing accounts
• Maintain high outbound activity: calls, appointments, and disciplined pipeline management
• Deliver consistent new-client acquisition and revenue growth
• Own client onboarding, relationship care, and retention strategies

Orchestrate recruiting and placements

• Design and run recruiting plans that sustain a strong candidate pipeline
• Track applications, interviews, and placements to optimize throughput
• Ensure rigorous adherence to the Express selection process
• Personally support interviews and tough-to-fill requisitions when needed

Deliver fulfillment and service excellence

• Oversee job order intake, assignment, and on-time fill rates
• Use system reports to monitor activity, follow-through, and service quality
• Rapidly resolve client and associate concerns
• Protect high satisfaction and strong Net Promoter Score performance

Run operations, financials, and risk management

• Own payroll and account setup, ensuring full compliance with Express systems
• Drive profitability, manage AR health, and support collections
• Monitor and mitigate workers’ compensation and unemployment exposure
• Guarantee 24/7 responsiveness via on-call program management

Community presence and compliance

• Represent Express in local networks, community groups, and chambers
• Engage at job fairs and workforce events
• Ensure strict alignment with employment laws and company policies

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years in leadership, sales, or staffing roles
• Expert coaching, communication, and accountability skills
• Track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
