Position Title: Workforce Trainer (Pool)

Department: Workforce Development

Immediate Supervisor's Title: Executive Director

Positions Supervised: None

Term of Position: As needed, Part-time

Position Description:(primary functions)

The trainer pool positions consists of electrical, HVAC, construction, machining, industrial maintenance and diesel maintenance. These are part-time, as needed hourly positions. Time and dates for the classes are flexible.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Electrical, HVAC, Construction, Machinery, Industrial, or Diesel Maintenance
• Certification or License and experience may replace a degree in some trades
• Three to ten plus years of hands-on experience
• Ability to explain complex processes clearly, demonstrate practical skills, and assess trainee performance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct short-term training classes
• Ensure proper safety requirements are taught and supervise all training experience
• Maintain required paperwork of class attendance and progress
• Submit monthly timesheets
• Evaluate student progress
• Assist in the selection and procurement of instructional supplies and equipment
• Assist in the recruitment of students
