Working Student Business Controlling (F/M/D)

For our SSL INEUR Head Office in Hamburg, we are looking to fill the position of Working Student Business Controlling (f/m/d) at the earliest possible date.

The Working Student Business Controlling supports the Business Control team in financial reporting and analysis, and the budget process. This role contributes to decision-making through accurate reporting and data analysis in international dynamic shipping environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support in the preparation of monthly financial reports and investigation of discrepancies
• Assist in analyzing variances between actual results, previous forecasts and budget
• Support budget preparation
• Assist the business controller in profitability, revenue, and cost analyses
• Work closely with Trade, Operations, Cargo Flow and other business departments
• Perform research and data analysis to support management decisions

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Shipping, Logistics or a related field
• Strong interest in financial controlling and business analysis
• Fluency in English, French will be a plus
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Knowledge of Excel Macros, Power Query, QlikSense, or other data analysis tools is beneficial

Preferred Experience

• Previous internship or student experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or data analysis is a plus
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, OneStream) is advantageous
