Responsibilities
Peer Mentors at AUM are undergraduate and graduate students who help guide and encourage fellow students. They are class leaders who act as a support system by helping students understand course material and class expectations. The role of a peer mentor can be compared to that of a teaching assistant without the responsibility of grading assignments.
Additionally, peer mentors receive priority registration for the semester for which they mentor.
Applicants selected to be peer mentor will be assigned to work with academic departments and will be expected to work with studnets in a course approved by that department.
Keep communication open with professors and complete interaction logs
