Workplace/Internal Communications Senior ManagerLocation: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid; employee must report to Warren, Michigan or Mountain View, California, three times per week)About the RoleThe Workplace/Internal Communications team at GM seeks a Manager to lead strategic initiatives that improve employee experience, build trust in leadership, and support key employment initiatives across our global workforce.Responsibilities Develop and execute a global internal communications strategy that enhances employee experience and builds leadership confidence.Develop communications strategies to support workforce initiatives, organizational changes, and leadership priorities, ensuring smooth transitions and strong employee buy‑in.Shape leadership messaging and platforms, amplifying leadership voices with transparency, authenticity, and inspiration.Collaborate with external communications teams on issues that require a unified internal‑external approach.Leverage data and employee insights to measure effectiveness and continuously refine communication strategies for maximum impact.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or related field.5+ years of experience in internal or corporate communications within a large, complex organization.Proven ability to develop and execute high‑impact internal communications strategies.Strong writing and storytelling skills, with experience crafting executive messaging and internal campaigns.Experience in issues management and crisis response, navigating sensitive topics.Experience working with global teams and diverse workforces in a fast‑paced, highly matrixed environment.Ability to influence and collaborate cross‑functionally with HR, legal, communications, and business leadership.Compensation Salary range: $98,900 to $158,000. Bonus potential available through incentive pay program based on company, job level, and individual performance.
