Safety and Risk AnalystThe Safety and Risk Analyst is responsible for providing safety, risk analysis, claim management, site visits, and training to sites located in an assigned territory. This position identifies key risk areas and collaborates with site management on strategies to mitigate risk, injuries, and hazards to Goodwill property.ResponsibilitiesImplement strategies to achieve organizational safety and loss control goals, revising and sustaining policies, procedures, and programs.Plan and manage work to complete routine responsibilities and special assignments, serving as a team member or subject‑matter expert on formal projects.Work independently to solve problems of moderate to advanced complexity, identifying root causes and interpreting data.Apply professional principles within the area of specialization to modify processes and resolve situations.Championship of Goodwill's community engagement initiatives and acting as an ambassador in the wider community.Provide safety, risk analysis, claim management, site visits, and training to sites in the assigned territory, identifying key risk areas.Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and deliver training on safety/risk topics through the Risk Management Information Systems.Lead safety, risk analysis, and claim management with site management in the safety territory; promote health and safety through proactive ESH programs.Conduct site visits to all sites in the safety territory, scheduling visits, meetings, and follow‑ups for annual reviews and significant hazards.Oversee employee safety education and prevention programs, including training on top risks, slips/trips/falls, material handling, patient lifting, and workplace violence prevention.Coordinate safety committee meetings, training on emergency response procedures, and conduct facility drills.Provide safety support to Asset Protection and Security Departments on cross‑departmental projects and process improvement initiatives.Complete end‑of‑month reporting requirements in a timely manner and perform any additional duties assigned.RequirementsTwo years of college education or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of three years' related experience.Previous experience in safety, risk, health, human resources, insurance, or related fields.Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations regarding employee health and safety, including OSHA, workers' compensation, general liability, and insurance regulations.Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Skype for Business, PowerPoint, Word); advanced skills preferred.Valid driver's license.Core Cultural CompetenciesCustomer Focus – Anticipate and meet customer needs, seeking innovative solutions.Values Differences – Respect diverse perspectives and communicate sensitively.Communicates Effectively – Provide clear, concise, and professional communications.Situational Adaptability – Adjust approaches as situations change.Drives Results – Set high performance standards and persist through obstacles.Ensures Accountability – Own successes and failures, monitor progress, and follow through.Physical/Sensory DemandsRegularly lifts or moves up to 10 pounds; frequently lifts up to 20 pounds; occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
