We are looking for a Workshop Controller to lead our vehicle maintenance operations and help keep our fleet, and our county, moving.
Your Role
As Workshop Controller, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Northallerton workshop and MOT Centre, managing a team of mechanics and chargehands. You'll plan, schedule and manage repairs and preventive maintenance for a mixed fleet of 460 vehicles from cars through to 32t trucks.
You'll ensure all work meets DVSA and organisational standards, while maintaining clear communication between operational and support teams to guarantee vehicle safety, availability, and excellent service delivery.
With support from the depot supervisor you will ensure all equipment within the workshop is calibrated and safe to use, the workshop is kept clean and tidy and line manage staff including PDRs.
You will deal with both external and internal stakeholders ensuring all costs are captured and recorded correctly.
