Job Description

DPP is seeking a Workstation/Server Administrator for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
 
Work Location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC; onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs and as needed
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a low-level (Public Trust) clearance
 
About the Team: 
  • End User Platform Services is a close-knit team of 13 professionals responsible for supporting more than 18,000 workstation endpoints and enterprise remote access solutions, including Citrix, VDI, VPN, Intune, and Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • In this role, you'll help design, build, test, support, and improve the workstation platform and remote access technologies used by more than 18,000 associates across.
  • A typical day includes collaborating with technical leads and engineers on enterprise initiatives, developing and testing Windows workstation deployments using BigFix OSD and Intune (also upcoming Autopilot with cloud native endpoints), troubleshooting imaging and endpoint management issues, and supporting improvements to hardware standards and endpoint security.
  • You'll work hands-on with technologies such as Microsoft Intune, BigFix OSD, Windows operating systems, Citrix virtual desktops, VPN and remote access solutions, Azure Boards, and ServiceNow.
  • Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining workstation build standards, validating hardware and software deployments, documenting technical solutions and processes, researching emerging technologies, and partnering with support teams to ensure a reliable end-user experience with our endpoints.
  • Success in this role requires strong collaboration, problem-solving, and a passion for modern endpoint management. Team members regularly participate in enterprise projects involving Windows 11 modernization, Intune operationalization, endpoint automation, workstation hardware standardization, and remote access enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
  • A+ Certification (Highly Preferred).
  • Strong Windows Workstation OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy experience.
  • PowerShell and/or Python skills.
  • Strong PC hardware and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Intune, MDM, and Entra ID knowledge.
  • BigFix and/or SCCM/ECM experience.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree;
  • OR 4 years of job related work experience;
  • OR 2 years of job related experience plus an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.
Required Work Experience:
  • 2 years of applicable workstation, server, and/or application support experience to include software and hardware troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Concept of Citrix XenDesktop and support knowledge.
  • Power BI/Power Automate/Python or other scripting or analytic knowledge.
  • Good documentation and technical writing skills.
  • VDI, VPN or any virtualization knowledge.
Soft Skills: 
  • Able to work independently and be able to collaborate to swarm problems.
  • Able to collaborate well with internal team members.
  • Able to communicate mistakes and willing to take ownership to grow.
  • Able to articulate issues well and create write-ups as needed.
  • Customer-service focus.
  • Attention to detail.

  • Great documentation skills.
  • Great with time management.
