SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Workstation Support Analyst for a on-site opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will provide hands-on desktop and workstation support in an onsite environment, helping configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software while assisting end users and maintaining secure, standardized workstation environments. The role also supports ticket resolution, equipment tracking, technical documentation, and workstation deployment activities.
Required Qualifications of the Workstation Support Analyst:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical operations or desktop support experience.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and supporting desktop PCs and workstation environments.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience configuring, installing, imaging, and deploying workstations.
- Familiarity with application installation, packaging, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation, equipment records, and inventory information.
- Must be eligible for the required C2 clearance.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Workstation Support Analyst:
- Experience supporting workstation deployment within an enterprise or large-scale IT environment.
- Knowledge of operating system imaging and application packaging.
- Ability to assist with broader IT infrastructure support.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, organizational, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities of the Workstation Support Analyst:
- Monitor and resolve assigned support tickets, providing timely technical assistance to end users for workstation, hardware, and software issues.
- Build, configure, image, install, and deploy desktop workstations and approved applications.
- Maintain workstation security, configuration, licensing, backup, and compliance requirements.
- Test, troubleshoot, validate, and document application packages and workstation configurations.
- Track equipment, inventory, replacement parts, and workstation assets while preparing related reports and administrative documentation.
- Collaborate with other technical teams and remain responsive to evolving technology and operational support requirements.
Work Location: Columbia, South Carolina — fully onsite position.
