World Language Teacher - Elementary (Leave Replacement)

Syosset Central School District

Available for the 2026-2027 school year

The Syosset Central School District seeks a World Language Teacher leave replacement. This anticipated vacancy is a leave replacement appointment. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• NYSED certification in a World Language (i.e. Chinese, French, Spanish, Korean) required

• FLES Extension preferred

• Demonstrated ability to align instruction and assessment with ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and World Readiness Standards

• Experience building language proficiency through engaging contextualized lessons

• Possess innovative skills using instructional technology

• Expertise in differentiation of instruction to support the success of all students

• Ability to collaborate with a highly respected faculty and staff

Salary per Syosset Teachers Association contract
