The WW Supply Planning Manager owns supply planning execution for a portfolio of Ring products, from production forecasting through finished goods delivery. This role is the operational core of the supply chain, ensuring the right inventory is in the right place at the right time while maintaining program-level KPIs and driving continuous improvement.

Key job responsibilities

  • Execute production strategies across the product lifecycle, including new product builds, weekly production forecasts, and long-range planning inputs.
  • Own and maintain supply planning KPIs (ie: weeks of cover, in-stock rates, air mix, and EOL inventory).
  • Develop and maintain production schedules using capacity plans, material constraints, and demand forecasts.
  • Monitor demand changes and assess supply impact; communicate risks and gaps to stakeholders proactively.
  • Place weekly purchase orders to meet Global Allocation requirements in Amazon systems, collaborating with regional allocation planners.
  • Generate and distribute supply planning reports (air mix, WOC, in-stock availability, etc.).
  • Support cost and risk mitigation efforts including transportation mode optimization, inventory carrying cost reduction, and waste/scrap minimization.
  • Use AI-powered analytics to surface supply chain insights and support more informed decision making.
  • Build and maintain automated solutions for routine planning tasks and reporting.
  • Leverage AI for scenario planning to accelerate and improve decision quality.
  • Apply data-driven approaches to inventory and production optimization.

A day in the life

The role focuses on production planning, continuous improvement, cross-functional relationship management, cost reduction, and purchase order management for Ring devices and accessories. A day/week in the life will often involve the below activities:

  • Analyzing weekly demand fluctuations and the corresponding supply impact.
  • Monitoring planned vs. actual production metrics.
  • Planning the proper inventory needed to be allocated across different sales channels and regions.
  • Communicating supply constraints to stakeholders (sales, marketing, demand, category, leadership).
  • Leveraging AI to improve ways of working and to help drive speed and efficiency.
  • Making data-driven decisions and effectively report on individual and team KPIs.

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
