Wound Care Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our team at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital.  In this role, you’ll serve as a clinical resource and consultant, helping patients achieve better outcomes through expert wound care while supporting and educating our nursing team.

What You’ll Do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care for patients throughout the hospital.
• Provide direct care and education to selected patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Educate and develop associates in wound care best practices.
• Recommend appropriate wound care products, equipment, and treatments.
• Participate in hospital committees, projects, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications:

• BSN required
• Wound care experience required.
• Graduation from an accredited Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program required or
• Satisfactory completion of program within twelve months of employment required. 
• 3-4 years Progressively more responsible job-related experience required. 
• Current RN license
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for patient care, education, and improving outcomes.
