Shift Information:
This position is a PRN. The shifts needed would be during the week, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The selected applicant would likely work 2 shifts per week.

What you will do:
The Registered Nurse plays a primary role in assessment, documentation, care plan development, wound treatment and education for the patients seen at the outpatient Wound Healing Center and inpatient wound care consultations and follow up visits. Provides assistance and collaboration with physicians. Coordinates resources such as home health, DME orders, residential and skilled nursing facility communication, etc. to ensure healing outcomes are achievable. Supports efforts of the wound care program to guide clinical excellence. Serves as a member of the on-call rotation team for after hours inpatient wound care emergencies as needed by the facility.
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science in nursing
Required Skills:
Ability to read, write and follow instructions; strong organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
Meditech, basic computer skills
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Unrestricted Texas license as a Registered Nurse, Basic Life Support
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Wound Care certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Required Experience:
One year experience as an RN in a hospital or outpatient environment
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in wound care, Home Health, critical care or a Medical surgical unit
