Wound Care Registered Nurse

About the Role:
MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse with minimum of 2 year's experience, to join our team in Gardena, CA. This position will be a 13-week contract.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patient outcomes by delivering specialized wound care in a supportive and professional environment. Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and diabetic foot ulcers
• Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and application of advanced wound care therapies
• Monitor and document wound healing progress, adjusting care plans as clinically indicated
• Educate patients and families on wound care management, prevention, and home care techniques
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
• Minimum 1-2 years of wound care or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, or CWS) is needed
• Proficiency in wound assessment, debridement techniques, and advanced dressing applications
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and evidence-based wound care practices
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment
