Position Overview:
BrightStar Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care & Vaccination Nurse (RN or LVN) to join our team in the Athens, Mabank, and Terrell areas. This role focuses on providing high-quality wound care services and administering vaccinations while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and education.
Responsibilities:
- Perform wound assessments and provide appropriate wound care treatment
- Administer vaccinations in accordance with physician orders and state guidelines
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and post-vaccination care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with physicians, team members, and caregivers
Requirements:
- Active RN or LVN license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience (wound care experience preferred)
- Experience with vaccinations/immunizations preferred
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between Athens, Mabank, and Terrell
- Current TB test required (company paid)
- CPR certification required (not company paid)
