Overview

This copywriter develops compelling, customer-focused content that supports The Vitamin Shoppe’s ecommerce, marketplace, and omnichannel marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for creating Amazon A+ Content, product detail page copy, product descriptions, promotional messaging, and marketing assets that drive engagement, conversion, and brand affinity.

 

The copywriter translates product features, wellness benefits, and brand positioning into clear, persuasive, and DSHEA-compliant messaging. This role requires a strategic writer who understands retail, digital commerce, SEO best practices, and customer behavior, while balancing brand voice, regulatory considerations, and performance goals.

 

Highly organized and detail-oriented, this individual manages multiple projects simultaneously and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment where accuracy, speed, and creativity are equally important.

Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize Amazon A+ Content, storefront content, and enhanced brand content that improves customer understanding and conversion
  • Develop compelling product descriptions, feature bullets, FAQs, and on-page copy for The Vitamin Shoppe website
  • Translate scientific, nutritional, and product information into consumer-friendly, benefit-driven messaging
  • Ensure all product and marketing copy adheres to brand guidelines, legal and regulatory requirements, and marketplace standards
  • Create copy as needed for a variety of marketing channels, including email, SMS, paid media, landing pages, web banners, promotional campaigns, and retail signage
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
  • Collaborate with designers and creative partners to ensure copy and visuals work together effectively

Qualifications

  • Experience writing Amazon A+ Content, ecommerce product copy, or marketplace content preferred
  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in ecommerce, retail, CPG, health and wellness, or digital marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of customer-focused, conversion-driven copywriting principles
  • Ability to simplify complex product information into clear, engaging consumer messaging
  • Experience working within brand guidelines while adapting tone and messaging across channels
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools a plus (i.e. Workfront and Teams)
  • Passion for health, wellness, fitness, and nutritional supplements preferred
