Medical Writer (NARSUM)
Reston, VA - 100% Remote

Pay From: $75,000/yr - $85,000/yr

MUST:
Experienced Virtual Narrative Summary (NARSUM) Writer
5 plus years of professional clinical experience
5-7 years of clinical experience with the Navy, Marine Corps, other military services, or civilian healthcare settings
Experience preparing comprehensive clinical documentation and medical summaries
Experience reviewing and analyzing medical records
Experience with LIMDU SMART, AHLTA, MHS GENESIS, and/or HAIMS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Licensed Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Independent Duty Corpsman (IDC)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Interim and/or Final Secret Security Clearance

DUTIES:
Review Service Members' medical records and prepare Narrative Summary (NARSUM) pre-drafts
Support Service Members undergoing the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) process
Apply analytical and investigative techniques to gather factual medical information
Utilize LIMDU SMART, AHLTA, MHS GENESIS, and HAIMS
Prepare accurate and comprehensive Disability Evaluation System (DES) documentation
Complete assigned documentation within established timelines
Work independently as part of a remote Narrative Summary Writing Team supporting Navy Medicine
