    WS - Electrical Test Engineer - Mar 2020

    Our client in the Seattle area is a part of a leading design and manufacturer of aerospace products and is looking for a Electrical Test & Calibration Engineer.

    We are seeking a versatile person to assist in our engineering test department. The position will be heavily engaged with design, development and support of testing systems for aerospace components and systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and build fully automated test systems to support ATP and QTP testing of aerospace parts.
    • Write and maintain LabVIEW test software.
    • Manage and maintain calibration of engineering test equipment.
    • Troubleshoot test system issues as they arise.
    • Coordinate EMI testing at outside facilities.
    • Maintain data and ensure data accuracy.
    • Meet with customers and Triumph engineers to ensure testing goals are met.
    • Desired Skills:
    • Familiarity with National Instruments data acquisition systems.
    • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
    • Experience with Delta Motion controllers, or similar motion controllers.
    • Background in electric motors and drives.
    • Experience with serial communication protocols including RS-232, RS-485 and CAN bus.
    • Experience with temperature testing and temperature control systems.

    Qualifications

    • At least 3 years of LabVIEW experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in automated test, preferably in aerospace.
    • Experience with PID control, specifically closed loop load, pressure, position, and velocity control.
    • Experience with calibration of transducers, signal conditioners, and amplifiers
    • BSEE, or MSEE
    • Test system design experience, including industrial electronics and cable assembly.
